What does "Barefoot" mean?

If you hear a truck driver say "Barefoot" on their CB radio, it's just another way to say "Legal, unmodified CB transmitter." Barefoot usually means running without a linear amplifier and sticking to the legal 4 watts AM or 12 watts SSB.
